The TK Renewal

The old terrace ran out of headroom at the top and out of daylight at the back. Rebuilding it from the ground up gave the house a full third floor under a new roof line, and put the kitchen and family room at the back, where the garden is. A lift runs through every level, planned into the house from the start rather than retrofitted later.

Inside, the rooms are warm timber and planting: a dry kitchen with a timber island, a wet kitchen opening to a planted yard, and a master bathroom with a freestanding bath beside a planted lightwell. A library wall of lit timber shelves wraps a window seat, and a home gym sits behind a perforated screen.
